Bibb County, located in Alabama, was created out of Montgomery County. Bibb County was founded, as Cahawba County, on February 7, 1818. The county was renamed, two years later, December 4, 1820. The county seat is located at Centreville. Bibb County is a dry county along with many other counties in Alabama, such as Blount County, Franklin County, Monroe County, and Pickens County. During the 2000 census, Bibb County had a population of 20,826.
