Brief History of Biggs, CA
Biggs is situated about 65 miles north of Sacramento in the southwest portion of Butte County. The primarily residential community of Biggs was founded in 1871 by Mr. A. M. Pitts and Lewis Posey. The town of Biggs was honorably named after the prominent local political leader, Marion Biggs. In 1903, Biggs incorporated as a general law city.
