Just south of Sacramento, California on U.S. highway 5 in Yolo County on the Sacramento river is the unincorporated area of Clarksburg. There are approximately 300 people living in Clarksburg. The area was founded in the mid 1850s when the land was developed for farming. An interesting feature of this town is that many descendants of the original founding families still live in Clarksburg, giving it a quaint small town feel.
