Surf’s up dude! Hermosa Beach is a city on the Pacific Ocean known for it’s sun, sand and surf. It is a very small city, with boundaries measured in blocks instead of miles. Originally part of the south bay continuum of rolling hills and grazing country, it is now a residential community for the beach crowd. The city is probably best known for its beach volleyball tournaments. In fact the city is often called the beach volleyball capital of the world. The cool ocean breezes keep the average summer temperatures in the mid 70s throughout Hermosa Beach.
