Brief History of Knightsen, CA
Knightsen was founded in 1898 by George Knight. The unincorporated town of Knightsen is located in Contra Costa County. Two sides of Knightsen are bordered by the waterways of the California Delta. In 1898, Knightsen became a stop for the Atchinson Topeka and Santa Fe railroad. Knightsen has been a primarily farming community and is home to numerous horse ranches.
