Brief History of Lancaster, CA
The city of Lancaster was the site for the Southern Pacific Railroad Company. In 1876 The Southern Pacific Railroad ran through the city making it very accessible for everyone to commute along the pacific. It is said that the Southern Pacific gave Lancaster it’s name. People have argued about who the original person that named Lancaster was. Sources have said that a man by the name of M.L. Wicks gave the city of Lancaster it’s name but records show different.
