Brief History of Oroville, CA
During the California Gold Rush, Oroville was established as the head of navigation on the Feather River to supply the gold miners. Thousands of prospectors arrived to the Oroville area after gold was discovered at Bidwell Bar. The streets of Oroville were filled with miners, saloons and pioneer.
