Brief History of Pennsylvania-

Pennsylvania best known as the Keyestone state since 1802. Pennsylvania became the central location among the original Thirteen Colonies forming the United States. It was also a keystone state economically. The southerners were agriculture producing ,fiber, food, and tobacco.

Another nickname for Pennsylvania is the Quaker State;in the colonial time, officially known as the Quaker Province, in regards of QuakerWilliam Penn's first frame of Government constitution for Pennsylvania that guaranteed liberty of conscience.

There is confusion about the numbers of towns in Pennsylvania. In1870, Bloomsburg of Columbia County was incorporated as a town, and is known to the government as "the only incorporated town" in Pennsylvania. However, in 1975, McCandless Township, in Allegheny County adopted a home rule charter under the name "Town of McCandless".

The ten most populated cities in Pennsylvania are Philadelphia, Pittsbrugh, Allentown, Erie, Reading, Scranton, Bethleham, Lancaster, Altoona, and Harrisburg. The center of population in Pennsylvania is located in Perry County, in the borough of

Duncannon. Pittsburgh is home to seven Fortune 500 companies, including U.S. Steel, PPG Industries, H.J. Heinz, and Alcoa. In all, Pennsylvania is home to fifty Fortune 500 companies.
